LLF Fellow joins LLNL!

Jason Van Tuinen, one of LLF’s 2021-22 UC Merced Fellows, recently joined LLNL as a computer scientist. He is among the first LLF fellows to pursue a career at the Lab following his full-year fellowship experience. LLF Fellowships at LLNL are cultivating our future STEM leaders and our community of supporters help make that happen!

Jason extends his gratitude to the LLF community for opening the door to this opportunity at LLNL. Join us in wishing him success in his new career at the Laboratory!

Our Foundation Has a New Home!

Last month, LLF moved into a new office at the recently renovated University of California Livermore Collaboration Center (formerly Hertz Hall Complex), at the north end of the Livermore Valley Open Campus. The revitalized space aims to strengthen collaborations between UC campuses and national laboratories, and LLF is thrilled to facilitate such partnerships and future programs as a key philanthropic partner. Come by to see us!

We appreciate our donor community for their continued support that has enabled us to grow to this point! We’re especially grateful to the Lab and LLNS for their employee giving campaign, Helping Others More Effectively (HOME), which kicks off later this month and supports so many charitable organizations, including LLF. Monthly gifts and matching funds via HOME enable us to sustain our STEM and research programs and advance our mission.

Join LLF’s 70 for 70 campaign!

On September 8, the Foundation launched our 70 for 70 campaign. In honor of the Lab’s 70th anniversary, we’re looking for 70 new gifts and 70 donors to continue advancing science and inspiring future scientists and engineers at LLNL.

With a generous pledge of $25,000 from UNCLE Credit Union, we’re getting closer to reaching our goal. Our donors are the key to opening the door to the future and making the impossible possible!
